Good Morning, I am getting the error status:

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\WPF\PresenationNative_v0400.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Tr installing the program using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.

Error Status 0xc000012f

Getting this from the log file:

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\WPF\PresentationNative_v0400.dll ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: %1 is not a valid Win32 application

This occurs randomly but more specifically when attempting to install Microsoft teams.

Attempted Troubleshooting:

  1. SFC /scannow
  2. DISM repair in cmd
  3. Re-installing c++ redist pack

How can I resolve this problem?

    Did you install the latest update for Visual C++ 2013 and Visual C++ Redistributable Package?

    You may refer to the link below:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/317956...

    If this doesn't work re-install Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable:

    Go to Control Panel.

    Click on Windows features turn on or off on the left pane.

    Uncheck on the box Visual C++ Redistributable and click on OK.

    Restart your computer.

    Then reinstall it by checking on the box again.

    Check if you will get the same error.

    HI Jocelyn. I did in fact install the lastest update for Visual C++ and Visual C++ Redist

    Hi Jocelyn,

    Thank you for the quick reply. As mentioned in my original post I did install the Visuall c++ redist. Still getting an error, even after a reboot and sfc scan and dism repair.

    Any other options or is this a case where the operating system will need to be re-installed?

    Thanks,

    Leon
