Access web content could not authenticate in excel 2019 power query

while i am connecting through data tab > get data > from web in excel 2019 power query an error occurred "We couldn't authenticate with the credentials provided. Please try again" whereas i am selecting Anonymous. please help on this issue

Today, I resolved this issue when trying to sign-in to SharePoint using Access Web Content from excel desktop app. In this case we are not able to sign in to share point URL to refresh the data. While signing-in it hangs for infinite minutes.

It works when that SharePoint URL is copied and accessed via browser and happens only with excel desktop application.

Asked user to sign-out from the office then cleared windows credentials from credential manager.

Tried to reproduce the issue and this time it was working just fine and not occurring anymore.

Was the previous connection to this URL successful?

It's recommended to clear existing permissions to have a check via going to Data > Get Data > Data Source Settings > Global permissions > click “Clear all permissions to remove all permissions”.
Then try to connect to this web content again.

I would also suggest you go to File > Options > Data, then tick the box of "From Web (Legacy)" to enable legacy data wizard.
Then please go to Data > Get Data > Leagcy Wizard > From (Web Leacy), contect to this URL.
