Recently I changed the ownership folder "Windowsapps" to me, now I want to change the ownership to the default but when I change it I can't open some windows apps, some can open (Realtek audio console, ARMOURY CRATE, DTS Headphone:x V1), some can't be opened (MyAsus, Asus keyboard hotkeys, dll) , and some even get an error notification (the parameter is invalid) When I want to open it, I've been looking for a lot of online solutions to reset the ACL "Windowsapps" folder but the results are still the same, I still can't open windows apps, I've tried methods, namely icacls, cacls, and others but the results are still the same, PLEASE HELP! ![82068-screenshot-829.png][1] [1]: /api/attachments/82068-screenshot-829.png?platform=QnA

    Take a look at:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/fix-problems-with-apps-from-microsoft-store-93ed0bcf-9c12-3df6-6dda-92ec5d0415ac

Try open the Command prompt as administrator and type the following command:

    sfc /scannow

And press enter and let it runs.

    Hello,

The default owner for WindowsApps folder is TrustedInstaller. So make sure you restore ownership only to TrustedInstaller. While restoring ownership, use the object name for TrustedInstaller as NT Service\TrustedInstaller.

You can refer this guide for steps:

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,
Try to follow the instructions below to restore or reset the default permission for your folder.

You mentioned that you have tried icacls command. If these don't work, I consider that you may try to use a Windows installation media to help repair. Please refer to the link below.
