Hi. After years of working my WHS report problems with remote access: myname.homeserver.com still exist, but can't be updated.
I found in ddns-*.log as follows:

 [2021-03-28 00:16:26 350] Last Error is 12031

 [2021-03-28 00:16:26 350] ERROR: Failed to RenewSslCertificate() with hr = 0x80072eff
 [2021-03-28 00:16:26 350] ERROR: Failed to CheckAndRenewCert with hr = 0x80072eff
 [2021-03-28 00:16:26 350] Failed to get version with hr = 0x80004005
 [2021-03-28 00:16:26 350] ERROR: Failed to SendNotification with hr=0x2de9eaa6

I found this certificate in Certificates (Local Computer)/Personal/Certificates and it is expired. How can I renew it? I have request file, but where to send it???

Hi,
According to your description, Normally, the certificate should be updated automatically by system.
If it could not update, I consider that you could re-config RWW. Reinstall this role may could update the certificate automatically.

WHS 2011 certificates are expiring. The system will not automatically update or renew it.
It would be good to have an explanation or step-by-step process of how to do this. From the error messages it is not clear whether it can be handled through the OS (via some wizard or something, and the certificate would just get renewed), or if it is necessary to purchase a new certificate through a third party.

The method by which these certificates were issued is no longer available. Customers should pursue using a different domain and/or certificate if this is still needed.

myname.homeserver.com ssl certificates will no longer automatically renew after around October 2024.
