Hi! My name is Dan! I bought my windows 10 home edition from Canada Computer and I installed it into my brand new computer. After that, the motherboard had some problem due to factory defect so I had to return that motherboard and got the new one. After I installed the new motherboard into my computer and installed window again then the activation key did not work anymore. Canada Computer told me that I should call the Microsoft to reset the key. Can you please intruct me how to reset the windows activation key?

    That's correct. You can call in to activation center here.

    @Dan Lam
    Hi,
    How did you obtain Windows 10?

    If it was preinstalled you have no rights to use it after motherboard replacement.
    If you bought Windows in Microsoft Store or in local retail store, please call Microsoft support during work hours and ask a help from support person.

    Hope above information can help you.
