Hi,
Based on my search, task scheduler issues with running Synctoy may be related to permission or the arguments setting.
1.Creating Basic Task in Task Scheduler
Program/script: "C:\Program Files\SyncToy 2.1\SyncToyCmd.exe"
Add arguments: -R (WITH A LEADING SPACE IN FRONT OF THE -R IN THE ARGUMENTS WINDOW)
2.using "create basic task" instead "create task" and run Synctoy as admin.
Please check some information in the link bleow.

Also you can view the SyncToy log by opening SyncToy, and click on File->View log. You can find the SyncToy log file inside of C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\SyncToy\2.0. You can check out the file SyncToyLog.txt to confirm that your task is not being executed.
Hope this helps and please help to accept as Answer if the response is useful.
Best Regards,
Carl
WIN10 Pro: task scheduler issues with running Synctoy: cannot write to backup disk
I have this on an older laptop with similar settings without any issues. this is a new laptop and am running into this problem. I am running Win10 Pro (latest update). I set up SyncToy2.1(64) with a batch file to back up a specific folder. It works when i run this file from SyncToy. However, when i run it from a task Scheduler it does not write anything in the backup folder (the right folder). I have tried another backup app and have same issues. I have tried all possible Task Scheduler settings and nothing made a difference. If run from task Scheduler, nothing is copied into "right" folder. I tried to specify different locations for "right" folder (external drive, local drive) but nothing worked. Thanks for your help in advance.
