Installed Citrix Workspace 2002 needed to access a virtual app. When opening the virtual app, the .ica file is supposed to open the Citrix file "wfcrun32.exe". Instead it's opening Adobe Reader.

Changing file association via 'settings> default apps> by file type' used to work, as I could browse to Citrix 'wfcrun32.exe', but then that method stopped working. At that point the only other selection was the incorrect file or Microsoft Store. But many companies are not allowed to access the Microsoft Store.

Then found a method for using the command line which worked on build up to 1809. Now testing on a PC that has build 1909, and the command line method no longer works!

I NEED to change the file association from Adobe to Citrix 'wfcrun32.exe' in order to connect to the virtual application. I need to get an answer on this!

Citrix is not currently supported here on QnA. I'd try asking for help in dedicated forums here.

This is a Microsoft file association issue, not a Citrix issue
