administrator password error

Question

Hi My self Darshan
i want to change my password of administrator account but cmd id throwing some error and error is

The system is not authoritative for the specified account and therefore cannot complete the operation. Please retry the operation using the provider associated with this account. If this is an online provider please use the provider's online site.

Hi,
If your user is a local user (not a Microsoft account like user@Karima ben .com), you can do this:

Create a new user with admin privileges.
Log off.
Log in with the new user and change other user's password.

If it is a Microsoft account, try to login to that Microsoft service and change the password or try "I don't remember my password" and change it before you log off.
Also, you can use the appropriate option in the tutorial below to reset your Microsoft account password to be able to use with netplwiz and have Windows 10 automatically sign in to your account at startup:
