Hi all, I have an AD DC and domain is domainone.com and i need to add sub domain like as child "child.domainone.com" on the same AD DC. I searched we need to create an another windows server and add the new AD DC to exits one as "add exits forest method either child or tree". But i don't want to do these.
My all work setup are done in Azure RDP so i tried an Hyper-v methods also.

    Hi,

It's not possible .You can't promote two domain controllers in same windows server. If you have only one physical server you can install Hyper-v and create two virtual machine.

    Hi,
    Welcome to share here!
As Thameur-BOURBITA said , we can't promote two domain controllers in same windows server.
You also mentioned the Hyper-v method, you can tried this method if you want to host 2 DCs (one for parent domain ,one for child domain) on one physical server.

    Best Regards,
