Hi,
This is a question related to SMB2_STATUS_NOT_FOUND
When we are making FSCTL_DFS_GET_REFERRALS, IOCTL call to some specific random server in dfs setup. e.g. <server>/$IPC, few of the times we are hitting SMB_STATUS_NOT_FOUND.
The question is: is there a certainity where all dfs nodes will have global(all) dfs referral information or can it happen so few nodes might not have the information in dfs cache.
This thread hints at the latter might be the case:https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/fb8adefa-7128-46f7-a67e-b36feed2d31a/0x80070043-the-network-name-cannot-be-found?forum=winserverfiles
Can someone confirm this.
Thanks
