Microsoft Edge needs Disabled/Remove

My Organization cannot have Microsoft Edge on any of our equipment. It is incompatible with our Test Systems. How do I use the Group Policy or even another method to uninstall/remove. We will not be certifying it for use on our Company Computers.

Specific legacy software will not load and will not run safely in that environment. Neither it or Chrome meets the standards. It's best to keep people from accidentally using it.

Also we're using Oracle and our ability to do so is tied strictly to Internet Explorer as per Corporate IT setup.

As far as I know, Microsoft Edge cannot be uninstalled from Windows. This is because the browser is built into Windows. No matter which command you decide to run in PowerShell, this will not work.

You can use Internet Explorer (IE) mode in Microsoft Edge to solve the compatibility issue of your website. You can refer to this doc about how to enable IE mode in Edge.

You do not understand, the IT Department has not certified Edge for use. It is INCOMPATIBLE with our Testing Software. Should it accidently be used it WILL mess with the Testing Software. This makes it a HAZARD. Throughout the organization all employees are forbidden from using it. However, by it being where it is, it is still possible to accidently use it. On many occasions we have seen Microsoft Updates re-assert Edge as the Default Browser and we have to put it back to IE. This is again, DANGEROUS.

@David Brenneman Now I can understand your situation. But you can't uninstall it. I think you can refer to Reza-Ameri's suggestion to ues AppLocker to block Edge browser.

Hi @David Brenneman
I found a way to uninstall Edge using CMD, it works well on my side. You can try it to see if it works for you.
You can refer to the How to Remove Chromium Edge part in this article to uninstall Edge using CMD.

Thank you for the clarification, I would recommend you to use Enterprise Mode instead, take a look at:

This could solve your compatibility issue and it is the recommended steps.
However, in case you really want to disable it, you may use AppLocker
