sound bar problem

have a DELL AX5 10PA E series sound bar- stopped working- has power and is connected to tower. lower right sound symbol has the rex "X" next to it. I uninstalled the sound bar trying to fix, but can't see how to re-install and doubt that will fix the malfunction. Steps I should take? Thank you
