The Teams client on Linux (through pulseaudio) lags the audio behind the video by several seconds. This makes Teams almost unusable on Linux. Has anyone also experienced this? what sort of work-arounds can be employed?

    @Jonathan Neufeld ,

    To determine if it is a standalone problem, please try in other Teams clients (such as Teams web, windows desktop client) and observe the results under the same conditions.

    If every client has the same problem, it should relate to the network. You could confirm with IT admin if the following ports and IP addresses are opened correctly:

    Also, sufficient bandwidth is essential. For more details about bandwidth requirements, please refer to this article.

    If this problem only exists in Teams for Linux client, you could try the following methods to fix it.

    1. Close other applications to avoid conflicts.
    2. Update audio drivers and firmware.
    3. Check if the audio and video settings are correct in Teams client.

    I was able to confirm that this does not occur on the teams web app, it seems to be limited to the Teams Linux client.
