How can we export the vm backup from azure to on-prem server.

Is there any power shell script through which we can do that?

    Hi @Amit Kumar ,

as far as I know there is no option to export a VM backup from an Azure Recovery Services Vault.
Neither in Azure portal nor via PowerShell,

What use-case is behind your request/question?

I too have this question. I have some VM's scheduled for deletion. I want to save a backup locally incase, six months from now, a developer realizes they forgot something. I am a big fan of long-term backups because users typically screwup long down the road.

Hi guys, What i am currently doing to create a test environment from production, is to export / create a VHD on the vm itself with Disk2VHD. I setup a volume big enough on another vm in azure to receive the export. I use 1st Gen vhd and VSS. (select all volumes, it does not work just selecting the c:) I cannot make it work with VHDX. Then copy VHD on Prem and mount on a HyperV server as vm gen1. Or get a backup solution and replicate offsite.
