Application Icon does not scale in Explorer views VS2019

I have added my .ico file into the project using the resource view and VS has created the appropriate .rc files. After building my solution, the icon appears as is but when I change the view in explorer from Medium Icons > Large Icons > Extra Large Icons, the icon itself does not change in size. Even though my original .ico file is in 256x256 and in VS i can see the different resolutions created:
Did I miss something?
