Windows Firewall settings for servers connecting to two different networks.

I'm thinking of setting up Windows Firewall on the following servers.

・Windows Server 2016 Standard.
・Windows Update installed the latest as of the end of March 2021.
・This server is not a virtual machine. Due to circumstances, server virtualization is not possible.
・There are two LAN ports on one network card.
・Two LAN ports connect to two different networks.

As a tentative name, name the two networks "Network A" and "Network B".
There is no direct connection between "Network A" and "Network B". However, I want this server to join both networks.

For example, suppose I want to open port number 80 for "Network A".
On the other hand, I want to close port number 80 for "Network B".
Is such a setting possible for Windows Firewall on the server?

This is just one example. The important thing is to set different Windows Firewall settings for the two networks connected to the server.

I'd appreciate it if someone could answer my questions.

    Hi ,

Please understand, due to limited resource, we did not have NIC that have two LAN ports to test in our lab. Please check network connections to see whether there is two network adapters or one network adapter with two IP address.

The Windows Firewall with Advanced Security doesn't bind to the network cards. It binds to the network profile. If you have two network adapters in network connections and you want set different rules per NIC, you can just set each NIC to a different network type, such as private and public.

    Best Regards,
    Candy
