MIM Portal AD Synchronization Rule not showing External resource type

Question

Hello Everyone,

i'm going crazy i hope someone can help,

i have the portal and the sync engine on the same server.

Created a graph b2b MA and synch rule and the whole workflow and it worked fine

i create now an Active Directory MA, i go to the portal and try to create the sync rule, i get the part where i have to chose person, the Management Agent and the External User type and the User type is empty, then the whole portal crashes

any other MA, works fine, i don't understand whats goin on....

any help will be much appreciated

Again Answering Myself here, for posterity

add this to the end of the mim web.config file : the value in bold is important, too big and nothing will happen
<resourceManagementClient resourceManagementServiceBaseAddress="http://xxxxx:5725" maxReceivedMessageSizeInBytes="52428800"/>
