excel not showing commands or worksheet tabs

Question

I first noticed some of the worksheet tabs weren't showing. Now none of them show. Plus when I click a command, there is hardly anything showing.

1. Does it do this on all spreadsheets or just a specific one?
2. Did this start occurring after an Office update?
3. Did you recently (or do you currently have) a graphics driver update?
4. Under Options temporarily disable the option to optimize for best appearance and restart Excel to see if the problem goes away?
5. Do you see this problem in Word or other Office apps?

Are you using multiple displays?
If there is a multi-monitor setup with a huge difference in screen resolutions, it may cause the display issues like yours.
For more detailed information, you may refer to the article "Office support for high definition displays".

Please check this issue after switching back the option of "Optimize for best appearance".
