We are looking to know about IPv6 support on the Azure VPN Gateway to use it as a connection endpoint on Site-to-Site configurations. Searching through the documentation did not find information about this.

We currently have a Site-to-Site connection using IPv4, but we want it to be dual-stack to comply with IPv6 readiness and migration policy.

We would like to know if this is possible at all. found some information on the internet that it is possible but it needs to be configured by technical support. id like confirmation before using a support ticket.

If it is not possible at all, where do we find some document or official statement about this?

    Hi,

It is one of the limitations -

ExpressRoute gateways CAN be used for IPv4-only traffic in a VNET with IPv6 enabled. Support for IPv6 traffic is on our roadmap.

    Please go through this. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-network/ipv6-overview

    Regards,
