I am doing Tunisia compliance process, the tablet is use windows 10 OS and Intel 9260 wifi module.
I checked the intel product spec, it will auto detect the regional to compliance the local regulation.
but, when the tablet sent to Tunisia, the wifi 5G UNII-3 (5470Mhz~5850Mhz) are still work,
(Tunisia is not allowed use wifi 5470Mhz~5850Mhz )
we re-install the OS , and update the all driver , but still cannot disable the UNII-3 bands, I don't know why
I also ask Intel about this question, but I don't get final answer yet , so far I only got replied is update the driver .
I updated the newest driver , but still doesn't work. ( I mean wifi 5G band 3 and 4 are still active )

I am thinking , maybe I have some missed in the windows 10 setting. so if you can give me some advise, it will be appreciated.

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Q&A platform.

Is seems that the issue is more related to Wi-Fi driver and router, and please understand, Intel 9260 Wi-Fi module is a third party product which we're not familiar with. I would suggest you could get back to Manufacturer support for further troubleshooting.

Here is a thread regarding of Wi-Fi Router 'Region' settings, you could have a look:

I don't see any relation with updating driver of the router.

You can change some wireless settings to improve the wifi coverage area, like wireless channel, channel width and transmit power.

Kindly check with Intel documentation For 2.4GHz and 5GHz you can use which channels .And please set transmit power to high.

You can add some network expansion devices to boost wifi signal, like range extender...

    Hi RyanYen,
the 5 GHz band is not disabled from the Operating System but from the advanced properties of your wireless network card.
You can disable all the 5 GHz band but not specific channels. Go to the advanced properties of the network card, look for the Band Preference item in the list and set it to 2.4 GHz.
It is also possible to disable the 5 GHz band on the router.

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your feedback.

Please understand, due to the environmental limitation, we have no such WiFi device to test in our lab. It is hard for us to reproduce and analyze this issue from Q&A platform support level.

If your issue is urgent, I would suggest you open a case with Microsoft where more in-depth investigation can be done so that you would get a more satisfying explanation and solution to this issue.

Also, in this way ,they can have a clear picture about your issue and your environment by phone communication and live share session.

You may find phone number for your region accordingly from the link below:
