We have a customer with 1000 workstations looking for Mass Deployment Office for below scenarios,

1- Office Deployment for Brandnew PC

  • > We have suggested embedding this via the MDT Package
    2-Office Deployment for Computers on the Network (This could include Windows 7/8 and Windows 10 machine which have a old Office version which needs to removed (Scrub) and new Office Click to run installed,

Customer does not have any SCCM tool , what would be the best way to do mass deployment of office click run for both the above requirements.

Thanks and Regards - Hasan Reza

    @HASAN REZA SARDAR

    Based on your description, I suggest to use ODT to deploy C2R version of Office.

    1.Download the latest version of ODT.

    2.Modify .xml file.
    What's the version of "old Office"?
    If MSI version like Office Professional Plus 2016/2013 and Office Standard 2016/2013, generally, you could add RemoveMSI element in .xml file to uninstall it when deploying.

    3.Type cmd in the search bar to open Command Prompt. Type cd+path of ODT, Enter, then type the command setup.exe /configure XXX.xml, Enter.
    XXX is the file name of .xml file.

    More information about ODT, you may refer to "Overview of the Office Deployment Tool".

    Besides, as deploying Office with MDT is out of my scope, to get more help about it, it's also suggested to post your question on Tech Community.
    Thanks for your understanding.
