Resx.Resources error

My app for Android and UWP shows the dutch (nl) or english (en) language.
For Android no problems, for UWP it worked initially OK during some months, but recently I got 3 errors:

PRI175: 0x80070057 - Processing Resources failed with error: De parameter is onjuist. GENERATEPROJECTPRIFILE

PRI222: 0xdef00003 - Unspecified error occurred. GENERATEPROJECTPRIFILE

PRI175: 0x80070057 - xxx.Resx.AppResources/will be restored/ failed with error: De parameter is onjuist. GENERATEPROJECTPRIFILE

To resolve I removed all rows from Resources.nl.resx and started the app. This was OK. Then I added all rows to Resources.nl.resx and I could run the app succesfully.
Changing to release mode or back to debug mode gave the errors again.
Whats wrong with UWP?

Could you please tell me when did you get these errors? Could you reproduce this issue on your own local machine? And another question is that could you please tell me if your app is a Xarmain app for android and UWP?

These errors came about 2 weeks ago on my desktop. The app is a Xamarin app for Android and UWP.

How did you meet these errors? Could you reproduce this issue on your own local machine with some specific actions?

Thank you for looking into this problem.
I could reproduce the problem with a new simple Xamarin UWP test app with only a MainPage with 3 labels and a Resx folder with the resx files Resource1, Resource1.nl and Resource1.en.

I try to find out under which conditions there is are errors or not. Errors have to do with changing from release to debug mode and vice versa, with cleaning the solution and with the number of rows in Resource.nl.

It will take me some more time to make a usefull report, but I certainly will
tell you more the coming days.

With my test app I did the following:
After each change of the resx files I did a clean solution before running the app.
Removing 2 of the 216 rows removed all problems.
These rows were:
Press Cancel, restart and try again. - Druk op Annuleren, herstart en probeer opnieuw.
will be restored. - zal worden hersteld.

Small changes in these texts removed the errors.
I have no idea what caused the problems.

As you mentioned, it works before. Could you please tell me if you had changed anything in your project? And could you please share the tutorials that you are following to implement localization?

Its a big project, constantly changing, but nothing in respect to the resources untill the errors appeared. Unfortunately I lost track of the resources tutorials. Thanks again for your attention.

So it is hard to confirm if there are other changes that cause this issue. Could you please check this document and follow it to re-make the localization- Xamarin.Forms String and Image Localization in the test project?

Because of my test project it is highly unlikely that there are other causes for the errors.
I found further that ending a string with a dot caused the errors. That was the case in the 2 rows in my app.
Removing the dots at the end of a string removed all errors.
In my test app I can show this reproducable with just one row.

My remaining question is: what are the rules for valid strings?

I checked the document for localization, but haven't found that there is a rule for validating the strings.

But it is still good news to hear you find the reason.
