Hi,

I have recently updated to new version (10.6.1) of Microsoft Remote Desktop on my macbook pro with Big Sur 11.2.3, after that I cannot connect to my work PC with windows 10. I got error with code 0x207. On previous version 10.5 of remote desktop there was no such issue. So I download beta version of remote desktop with version 10.5.1 (1852) and there is no such problem, so I can connect to my work PC without any issue with beta version and cannot to do the same with original version 10.6.1.

Could you help me understand what changed and how I can fix it?

We just experienced this problem as well with the 10.16.4 version of Microsoft Remote Desktop.

Another test with the beta version (10.16.5) does work however so here is hoping that MS pushes this version to the appstore.

Hope (for now until this update is deployed) that this helps you Sergei.

    Cheers,

    Eelco

I'm experiencing the same issue with version 10.8.1.

We couldn't connect to the remote PC. This might be due to an expired password. If this keeps happening, contact your network administrator for assistance.

    Error code: 0x207

It's not a password issue as I'm getting it generated with a pem file on the EC2 console. I'm running Windows Server 2022 on an EC2 instance and all has been good. When I disabled Hyper-V to run ESXi image with VMware, I got prompted with this error after I restarted the instance. Windows can't run ESXi image even though Hyper-V's role is not explicitly installed in the "Add Roles and Features" tool of the Windows Server Manager. So I disable Hyper-V using BCDEdit and rebooted the instance.

    bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

When the instance stood up, I couldn't connect. I enabled ICMP and pinged it. Packets are getting transmitted normally. I downgraded to a previous release as suggested in some forums and I still face the same issue.

    Hello @Сергей ,

What about the latest Version 10.6.2 (1874)?
In this release we removed a double prompt for credentials that occurred in some scenarios when connecting using an RD Gateway.

    Hi @Leila Kong ,

Unfortunately new version has the same issue as I'd described above.
