Cannot login to Azure Portal Application

When I attempt to login to the Azure Portal Application, I go through the login process and then the windows displays, "Hang on a moment while we sign you out." I can login to the web version of the portal fine, but not the desktop app.

    Hello @JNorth-7754 , @MarkBell-4682 , @HarmOttens-9653 ,

    We checked this internally and this is an ongoing issue with the App . The OWIN library in the backend was updated to v4.1 which has caused some incompatibility with this Azure portal electron app specifically . The app uses a version of the browser engine which does not support some standards while setting OpenIDconnect cookies. The OWIN 4.1 library updates the way cookies are handled hence we see an issue in this app. The product team has been involved on this and they will be working to resolve this soon. It will take some changes and needs to be carefully done as it involves Azure Portal which is the most heavily used application on Azure infrastructure. So you may have to wait for some days before it works again .

    Temp Mitigation/workaround :- You can use the workaround by going to portal.azure.com through any modern browser and work without an issue while this is getting fixed.

    UPDATE :- 6AM GMT 17th June 2020 :- The fix have been deployed and the issue is resolved now. At this time this product is still in PREVIEW and not GA hence the same SLAs do not apply to it as anything in Production. And It was not expected that any product in PREVIEW was being used at this large scale in production day to day use by so many customers. However this provides us a new perspective and this has been brought to notice of the product group and we are trying to get the work on this app prioritized.
