I know MS is moving to https://answers.microsoft.com/
But this feels more like something for the general public (No server section for instance). Am I going to still be able to use TechNet forums for technical stuff? If not, where should I post IT Pro questions???

P.S. Where did the drop downs go so I can pick the proper forum group??

    No this is not correct. The migration from MSDN / Technet was to QnA forums here, no changes to microsoft answers (consumer) forums. This forums is tag based so you can pick from the tags presented here when asking for help.

    The MSDN / TechNet forums have closed (read-only) and discussions migrated here to QnA

    ????????
    So I am not sure how this answers any of the questions I asked. Can I assume that;

    • I know MS is moving to https://answers.microsoft.com/
      -----------This is correct
    • But this feels more like something for the general public (No server section for instance).
      ---------- This is correct.
      Am I going to still be able to use TechNet forums for technical stuff?
      -----------No, this is archived.
      If not, where should I post IT Pro questions???
      ----------No Place, there is no longer forum support for IT Pro's
    • P.S. Where did the drop downs go so I can pick the proper forum group??
      ----------The new forum does not have it at all, it does not exist and there is no replacement.
