Creating a Session and Virtual Desktop Collection on the same server

Question

How can I create a Session collection and Virtual Desktop Collection on the same server? I've selected a 'Virtual machine based desktop deployment' initially. When I go to create a 'Session' collection that option is greyed out. I know this is possible as we have both type of collections on older 2012 RDS server.

Session Roles need to be installed separately.

As stated in your link, Virtual machine-based desktop deployment and Session-based desktop deployment can be implemented together. Please make sure that you have added all RDS related Windows Servers in the server manager.
Session-based virtualization: individual session running inside a server Operating System. Multiple users simultaneously connect to server system/resource.
VDI: individual virtual machine running desktop Operating System. Each user connect to their own virtual desktop client system.

Can you choose "session-based desktop deployment" initially and create session collection?
