If I clean the history from Edge including passwords would it also delete the passwords from Authenticator?

Hi @Billy Ingram

Do you mean the mobile app Microsoft Authenticator? If so, if you log in with the same account in Microsoft Authenticator and Edge browser, the passwords will synchronize between the two apps.

So if you delete passwords in Edge profile with the same account as Microsoft Authenticator's, the passwords will also be delated from Authenticator.

Yes, I did mean the mobile app. I understand the concept of if a password is created, changed or deleted then it is synced between the two apps.
However, the scenario of cleaning the history in Edge should not create, change or delete a password, but remove the existence of a password from Edge while keeping the password in Authenticator.
The idea is to remove dormant passwords from Edge until needed again, which will then be recalled from Authenticator via 2FA.
Authentication should be used to re-authorise the use of a password after a period of dormancy.

If you don't want to lose the password in Authenticator, I suggest that you can uncheck Passwords when you clear browsing data. You can only keep passwords in both apps now.
About your idea, I suggest that you can provide your feedback to Authenticator about the feature.
