Hello, I have Windows 10 and have a few windows opened in medium-customized size mode (not Maximized nor Minimized) with specific sizes and positions.

When I Maximize one of them and do work on it for a while and then put it back to medium-customized view all of my opened windows gets resized and loses their positions.

How can this be fixed to retain their sizes and positions and why does this happen?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
You could try the steps below:
Cascading is one possible fix to the issue.
Or try to boot into Safe Mode to check if it works.

Also I suggest that you could perform a clean boot.

If the issue still insists, it may be related to your system files.
Open CMD window, right click run as admin. Type the commands below:
    sfc /scannow
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Then check for update, if any security updates could be found. Please install them to check.
Hope this helps and please help to accept as Answer if the response is useful.
    Best Regards,
    Carl
