Hello all,
I recently started a new job that requires me to work from home. I have a 2019 MacBook Pro 8GB 1.4 ghz i5, with macOS Big Sur version 11.2.3 installed. I downloaded the Microsoft Remote Desktop app via the App Store and it will not allow me to connect to my remote session at work. I have triple checked every setting on my Mac, my work station, and MRD app, and they all seem to be in order. It is providing me with the error code: 0x3000066. I have researched multiple different forums and tech groups and no one can provide me with the right answer.
Our internal tech department used my credentials on his 2019 MacBook Air, using the same MRD app, and he WAS able to connect. So it is clearly something to do with either my specific MacBook settings or the specific version of Microsoft Remote Desktop. All signs point to the latter, including feedback and support from multiple different forums and multiple different tech departments/groups. But as far as I can tell, Microsoft does not offer old versions and is not in the midst of fixing the current issue (even though I see countless claims of the same issue everywhere online). When are they going to fix this and how? I NEED this to work in order for me to do my job. The longer this goes without a tangible solution, the longer I lose money and potentially even my JOB. Please respond ASAP with any suggestions or an actual fix. Thanks.
