No Recording After Leaving A Video Call In Microsoft Teams. Forgot To End Recording

Within Microsoft Teams, I had a video call with a co-worker and started a video recording. I forgot to end the recording before leaving the "Video Call". Normally, in scheduled meetings it would usually appear in the chat history, however it was not there.

Some things to take notice of:

  1. I checked the chat history with the co-worker
  2. There was no scheduled meeting, just a "video call"
  3. I checked the One-Drive/Recording Folder and did not see that recording (20 hours after)
  4. Microsoft Stream is empty (probably because it is uploaded to OneDrive)
  5. I am positive I hit record within the video call, and both people left the meeting without hitting "end recording"

Lastly, I had a similar problem before within breakout rooms from a meeting, that "the recordings not showing up in the chat history," however yesterday I found them in the OneDrive Recordings folder.

Question:

  1. Where do recordings show up after a video call if you forgot to click "end recording"?
  2. How long does it take before it shows up within your OneDrive (It has been longer than 20 hours)?

    There is no difference between these two behaviors. The recording will show in your chat conversation and will be saved in user who clicked on Record. In our environment, it shows like the following picture:

    When ending the calling without end the record (show in chat conversation):

    2. How long does it take before it shows up within your OneDrive (It has been longer than 20 hours)?

    It depends on your recording size. Large size will spend more time to save. In my test environment, it take 2 min to save the recording(recording size is 9.60MB).

    After answering these questions, I still have some confusions to confirm with you:

    1)If you end the recording before ending the meeting, will it be saved in conversation history?

    2)Does anyone else meet the same issue in your organization?
