    Hi Dhili,

My name is Jocelyn, an independent advisor and a fellow Windows 10 user like you.

We are sorry for the trouble this has caused. Let me help you with this.

Please try the following steps below and check after each:

    1. Make sure the camera app is turned on

    >Open Settings Window.

    >Click Privacy.

    >Click Camera in the left pane. If it is off, turn it on.

    1. Reset Camera App

    >Go to Settings>Apps>Apps and Features.

    >Look for the Camera App, click on the Advanced Options link to open Storage usage and app reset page.

    >Then click the Reset button.

    1. Uninstall and Reinstall Camera

    To Uninstall:

    >Type CMD on Search and select Command Prompt and run as administrator.

    >Copy paste the following command:

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsCamera | Remove-AppxPackage

    To Reinstall:

    >Type CMD on Search and select Command Prompt and run as administrator.

    >Copy paste the following command:

    Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.WindowsCamera | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

    1. Check for antivirus software.

Disable the antivirus software temporarily and see if the camera works. If it

works, the problem is caused by the antivirus software.

    1. Check and Update your camera drivers.

    >Go to Device Manager.

    >Expand category Imaging devices.

    >Right-click on the name of your camera, and then select Uninstall.

Note: In Windows 10, some cameras/webcams may show up under “Sound, video and game controllers”). If you don’t find your camera under Imaging devices, find it under “Sound, video and game controllers”.

    > Go back to the Device Manager window, click Action > Scan for hardware changes. This should let Windows automatically detect the webcam driver and hardware.

I hope these steps would help you. If you need further assistance, please get us back.

    Kind Regards,

    Jocelyn
