Editing Multiple files in a folder

I have quite a few music files that has some unwanted information and also some additional name besides the file name. Is there a way to to edit the whole folder to remove additional info on the folder. For example, several songs were downloaded and these songs have website name besides the file name. Similarly, the website added their name as contributing artist. There are 100s file like that. I have uploaded some screen shots for the reader to understand. On the screen shots, you can see "song pk" at the end of the file name and also as contributing artist.

I hope you can understand what I mean. I would like to remove these additional info all at the same time rather than doing one by one.

Any and all help will be much appreciated.

Hi Noor. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, and Volunteer Moderator, here to help you.

See here how to edit multiple MP3 file Properties:

Hopefully one of these will work for what you need. If not let me know.

Thank you so much for responding to my question promptly. First of all what is metadata?

Secondly, I want to delete certain phrase from all files including the detail properties. For example, several files have the website name after the file name and also contributing artist. In my case, i want to delete "songspk" or in some cases it reads "songspk.com". I want this phrase to delete in my entire music folder including sub-folders. When I select the whole list of a folder, I see "songspk" after the file name and the title in the detailed properties. Also. some other fields, it reads "multiple vavues". Is there a way to delete this phrase from the entire music folder including sub-folders. Just this Phrase "songspk" or songspk.com. I viewed some tutorials on you tube where it shows how to do it in shell command. I could not really understand the syntax.

If that is how it would work, can you walk me through the process? Better even, if you can type the command in the shell with this particular text and I will copy the command in the shell. the text is "songspk" or "songspk.com". Maybe songspk* wold clear in all files. This is the only text I want to remove on all files and folders in my music folder.

I very much appreciate your help.

Metadata is the type of background data you want to edit.

I wouldn't be able to walk you through the specific commands for this, just provide you with the best resources to get it done, which I have located for you above. It is outside my area of expertise.
