Hi,

Is it possible to use a multi string value in "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion" for the program files folder?

For example:

ProgramFilesDir:

C:\Program Files

D:\Program Files

Windows for home | Windows 10 | Files, folders, and storage

Basically, I have a separate drive for my OS and a separate drive for installing all of my programs.

If you know in the name of the Photoshop folder then you can create a symbolic link on drive C:  that lets Windows believe that the program is on C: even though it's on D:. Post again if you need detailed instructions.

Basically, I have a separate drive for my OS and a separate drive for installing all of my programs.

I recently purchased Adobe Photoshop, however, Creative Cloud only installs to C:\Program Files and does not install to D:\Program Files. I was wondering if I could make them both an accessible Program Files dir.

Hi, I'm Elise, an independent advisor and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

This won’t work for what it looks like you are trying to achieve here.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise

Of course you can make it a multi-string value but what you should really ask is whether Windows can cope with it. I do not think it will. What is the purpose of this exercise.
