Xamarin app crashed on ios with error: Unrecoverable CT signature issue, bailing out

Whenever I use hot reload to run my Xamarin forms 5 app on my iPhone, it crashes immediately on startup and produces the error:

AMFI: '/private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/BAE0B9F4-24F1-4DDF-8848-99DCE7211F88/appname.iOS.app/Xamarin.PreBuilt.iOS': Unrecoverable CT signature issue, bailing out.

I found this thread on StackOverflow

but the accepted answer does not help with my issue. I'm developing on windows 10 and paired to a macincloud instance. Any help would be greatly appreciated

@user064 what's your ios version and have you tried on a different version? Are you able to run your app on simulators?

The problem is more likely a native platform issue from the description, so it's suggested to ask for advice from Apple Developer Forum or ask for apple developer support

ios 14.4. Runs fine on the simulator but never on the device.

It's recommended to test with another device if possible, you can also report this issue in Visual Studio through "Report a problem" in Help, VS engineer will help check if this issue is related with VS or the device.
