showing "this folder is empty" when its not

since i updated my pc from windows 7 to 10 i have had some problems with the local disk D

for example it shows that the folder is empty but when i search something it shows so its not empty

how can i fix it?

Based on your description, after your computer updates, the D drive folder shows up as empty, but you know there are files on it. Your D drive might have hidden some of the files.

1. You can double-click on the "This PC" icon on your desktop and access the D drive.
2. Click on the menu bar with the upside-down triangle at the top.
3. Click on "View".
4. Check the box in front of "Hidden items" (if you want to see the hidden files) or uncheck it (if you don't want to see the hidden files).

Then check if your D drive on your computer can display the files properly.
