Question

Why would Microsoft allow this update when it is causing problems. After finding out too late. Many people have indicated not to download this. I don't want to download this file now. Or retry it. So how do I get this to disappear? Also, my pause button now isn't working. my pause update now isn't working.

Please try using the “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter to hide the problematic update until Microsoft resolves the issue. Window Update won’t install hidden drivers or updates. Run the troubleshooter then please try to hide KB5034441 update that will show in the list. You may try restarting your pc if it helps.

The patch is for bitlock, the overwhelming majority of users don’t even use bitlock, just few with PRO (none with HOME) and even for those the vulnerability is not that dangerous, it needs physical access to your PC.

Still and knowing it will not work in a lot of devices MS engineers pushes it in everyone, for them easy “just resize your partition” something that may ruin your system for an unnecessary update.

Still after looking the chaos they created, they had done nothing, mind blowing why they didn’t at least removed this faulty patch.

So they gone for their weekend leaving users dealing with it and some ruining their systems trying to fix it messing with their partitions. If we are lucky and they care they will do something after Monday.

MS Windows and Updates is so poorly managed lately.
