SQL replication Web sysnchronization error

Question

I am trying to sync 2 databases, one in local and another a server which we connect to using vpn. we are trying to create a merge replication with web sync between the two databases. while trying to configure the web, I am getting an error (screenshot is attached).

The local path is not in the correct format. (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnWiz)

Program Location:

at Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnWiz.ConnWiz.ConvertFromLocalPath(String path)
at Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnWiz.ConnWiz.CopyISAPI(Int32 actionNumber)

We are scratching our heads from 2 days on this. We really appreciate for any suggestions .

The issue is related to IIS 7&8 support of Web Synchronization wizard. Please follow the steps to configure IIS 7 for Web Synchronization.
