I see. The only options that I can recommend now is performing either a repair using an bootable media or perform repair upgrade which also allows you to keep your files.

In case you would like to give it a go, check the link below for more info.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hi, TetauSolomon.

I'm Jen, an Independent Advisor and a Windows 10 user just like you. I don't work for Microsoft but I'm always willing to give any help that I can.

Sorry to learn about the error you encountered. If you're unable to boot, try following the steps below and see if it helps.

    1. Restart your PC.
    2. Press Shift + F8 before Windows 10 starts loading to enter recovery mode, from where you can boot into Safe Mode.
    3. Next, go to Advanced Boot Options and set boot mode as Safe Mode to open your computer.
    4. Once you are in Safe Mode, check if there's an error with the device driver causing the issue. If there are, update the drivers.

In case the issue still persists, proceed with SFC to check system file corruption.

    1. In the Windows search bar, type command prompt. Right-click it and select run as administrator.
    2. Type sfc /scannow and press Enter. Wait for a few minutes until the system scan finishes.

However, if the scan tool is unable to fix the issue, follow it up with DISM. Run the the command prompt as administrator again and type the command below:

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth then Enter

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth then Enter

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth then Enter

    Hoping for the best outcome.
