Minecraft: Bedrock edition code

I have seen a lot of posts about people not being able to find their redemption code and I have not been able to find mine as well. I purchased it in 2016 so I know that should not be a problem. Any help finding where this code would be?

    Hey! I read the article, and I am not talking about buying the game as a gift. I am saying since I own the java edition of Minecraft how can I get the free upgrade to the windows 10 edition (or bedrock). Usually, the code would have appeared in the above screenshot but I do not see it.
