Problem with Activating Windows

After downloading Windows 10 from Microsoft and installing it, I wanted to activate it. While activation is of cosmetic nature to some, I'm getting serious issues on my PC because my Windows is not activated. Then I learned about this volume licensing, which I have no idea what it is and it's impossible to reach the page without a business email. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do and why is this so complicated.

You have mentioned about volume licensing is this a volume license version of Windows , how did you acquire your volume license Windows?

If you just install new Windows in a pc you need a digital license key that was purchase from Microsoft Store for you to activate your Windows.

I have Windows 10 Enterprise. I downloaded and installed it from the Microsoft page. I don't have the product key. In the Windows Script Host,  the Product Key Channel says Volume: GVLK and I've read somewhere that this means that I don't need an activation key, but this license thing, which I know nothing about.

Regarding purchasing the key, how do I do that? All I see in the Microsoft store is a whole Windows 10 purchase, when all I need is to activate the one I already got.

Volume licensing is for companies and in case you are part of company and you got your Windows through company, you need to check with IT Department to help you with activating your Windows.

However, in case it is personal computer , then you don't need volume licensing and you will need product key to activate it.

What happens when you try to activate your Windows?

    Is there any error code?

Did you purchase Windows 10 from trusted source?
