Intune Android Dedicated device - force app upgrade

My Company uses Honeywell T40 devices with Intune as dedicated Kiosk (no user) devices. We get updates to our IVY application in our Private Google store. After I updated in Google and Sync to Intune, it updates in the Apps Blade. But it can take up to 8 hours for the enrolled Honeywells update the app. When you open the managed app on the device, the sync is greyed out. So you cannot force the device to check for a new version. Is there a way to force the update app to install on our KIOSK devices. Thanks, Kathy
