I contacted a microsoft advisor and they told me to refresh windows. It worked, but not exactly what I wanted as it cleared all my apps and settings.
Enter button missing from login screen
Hello, I've noticed recently that my enter button has disappeared from the login screen. I've tried:
-Restarting my computer
-Using Ctrl Alt Del on the login screen
I've recently done an sfc /scannow and Windows found corrupt files, however they got fixed. Just after this happened, I got a missing enter button. Are you saying that sfc /scannow damages the system, instead of fixing the system?

I actually experience the same issue before, I hope the troubleshooting steps below will also fix your issue.
Method 1. We will repair all Windows apps components of the PC
On Powershell(admin), copy and paste the command below:
Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Method 2: Disable Fast Startup
Go to Start > Settings > System.
Under Power & sleep, click Additional power settings in Related settings.
Select the option: Change what the power buttons do.
Hit Change settings that are currently unavailable.
The Fast startup choice would be accessible. Uncheck the box of Turn on fast startup and then click Save changes to take effect.
Restart the PC and check
Note: After restart, try to turn it on again.
If none will work from the above solution I suggest to do an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.
Note: before doing this make sure to create a restore point: https://support.microsoft.com/en-hk/help/402753...
- go to this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
- Select Download tool, and select Run. You need to be an administrator to run this tool.
- On the License terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept.
- On the What do you want to do? page, select Upgrade this PC now, and then select Next.
- After downloading and installing, it should fix the issue.

Note: if you receive error: “This Pc can’t be upgrade, follow the steps below”
Method 1. Go to C:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther then delete the file name compatscancache.dat
Then try again or reboot the PC first then try again.
You might not see the folder as it is hidden, make sure to show hidden files first.
Let me know how does it goes and I hope that helps.
