Hi,
Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.
I understand that you are facing issues in downloading Forza Horizon 4 on your computer. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.
However, please let us know:
1. Are you able to download any other application from Microsoft Store?
2. Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
3. Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? Refer Which version of Windows operating system am I running?
One of things you can try is switching the network connection i.e. if you are using a wireless connection try connecting to wired connection and check if the issues persist.
Method 1: Reset Store Cache
Try resetting the Store and see if that helps.
- Press Windows key + R. This will open Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for 'Run'.
- In Run dialog box, type 'wsreset.exe' and hit Enter.
Note: A blank Command Promptwindow will open, and after about ten seconds, the window will close andMicrosoft Store will open automatically.
Method 2: Re-register Microsoft Store
Re-register Microsoft Store using PowerShell and see if that helps.
- Press Windows + X keys together and click on Windows PowerShell (Admin).
- Now type in the command and hit Enter: Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
- Restart the PC.
Method 3: Disable Proxy Server
I suggest you to check if proxy server is enabled.
- Press Windows logo key + I, to open Settings.
- Click on Network & Internet and select Proxy from the left pane.
- Under Automatic proxy setup, toggle the switch to On for Automatically detect settings.
- Now, under Manual proxy setup, toggle the switch to Off for Use a proxy server.
If the issue persists, you can try performing a winsock reset and check if that helps. To do this, refer the steps mentioned below:
- Type command prompt in the search bar on the Taskbar.
- Right click on the command prompt icon and select Run as administrator.
- Type or paste the command and hit enter: netsh winsock reset
- Restart the computer.
Method 4: New user account
Try creating a new user account and see if you are able to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. Refer the article Create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10.
Let us know how it goes.
