I HAVE A YELLOW TRIANGLE WITH AN EXCLAMATION MARK IN THE VIRUS & THREAT PROTECTION SECTION.HAVE TRIED ALL FORMS OF SCANNING BUT IT STILL REMAINS ANY IDEA HOW TO FIX THIS.A VIRUS HAS BEEN DETECTED AND REMOVED BY DEFENDER.

There is a simple solution that can help.

You can reset Windows Defender and install its latest settings with the steps below:

1. Click on the start menu and type command prompt, when viewing the application, right-click on the Command Prompt and click Run as Administrator.
2. Type the commands below in the Command Prompt window and press the Enter key after each one:

CD C: \ Program Files \ Windows Defender [Enter]

MpCMDRUN.exe -RemoveDefinitions –All [Enter]

3. Close the command prompt.

Installing the latest Windows Defender offline settings:

1. Download updates manually via the link below:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/defenderup....

2. Run the downloaded file and wait for the installation to finish.
3. After installing, restart your computer.
