Enter network credentials

This is becoming so old. I have two windows 10 desktops and a windows 10 laptop; all can see each other on the network. The laptop and one desktop insist that I enter login credentials to access them. Please do not tell me or direct me to links that say to disable password protected sharing. It is disabled on all three machines. I've restarted each to make sure the setting remains unchanged. Network discovery and file and printer sharing is turned on for all networks on all 3 machines.

What's worse, I am entering the correct credentials when it asks for them and I'm still denied, saying the User name or password is incorrect. It's not.

Can someone please help me correct this?

Do you have Windows 10 Home or Pro? Have you already tried the Username and Password for your network and the band (2.4 or 5 GHz) you're on?

Boy is my face red. Instead of entering actual network credentials, I was trying to enter the login credentials for the machine I was trying to access.

    Thanks for the help!

    Thanks for the response.

The majority of these links address turning off password protected sharing, which I've already stated is turned off and remains turned off on all machines. I've been down all of these roads and exhausted all of the presented remedies except:

Removing (or re-setting) the Guest account password. I can't accomplish that because:

1: The Guest account is not visible in User Accounts and it can't be accessed thru 'Local Users and Groups' in Computer Management because 'Local Users and Groups' isn't available in Windows 10 Home Edition

2: Setting the guest account to visible using a command prompt (per the linked YouTube video) did not reveal the guest account in User Accounts

so I still cannot work with the guest account.

I've tried everything else referenced in the links you posted.

    Any further help is appreciated.
