SSL certificate errors across all browsers

Recently, a lot of websites have been breaking for me with SSL certificate errors across all browsers. These websites work perfectly fine on other devices on the same network.
Examples of these websites include reddit, howtogeek etc.

My windows is fully updated and I can confirm that this issue is only limited to my pc. I installed a certificate after it was forced on me by a slightly shady app but it has been a while since I did that and things have started breaking very recently.

I am thinking of restoring all the certificates on my pc to the default, but I wasn't able to find a good method to do so. Help?

Hello Duccinador, welcome to the Microsoft community, my name is Bruno Leonel, an independent consultant and I would be happy to help you.

I understand that you're having certificate issues with your browsers. Please try the steps below.

    Set the clock

To open Date and Time, press the Windows + R keys.

In the Open field, enter the control command and click OK.

On the Control Panel, click Clock, Language and Region> Date and Time.

Click the Date and Time tab and click Change date and time. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, enter the password or provide confirmation.

In the Date and Time Settings dialog box, do one or more of the following:

To change the time, double-click it and click the arrows to increase or decrease the value.

To change the minutes, double-click them and click the arrows to increase or decrease the value.

To change the seconds, double-click them and click the arrows to increase or decrease the value.

When you are finished changing the date and time settings, click OK.

    Configure Internet Options

Control panel, click on "Internet Options" and then on Advanced.

Make sure that the SLL 2.0 and 3.0 options are selected and click apply.

Still under "Internet Options in the" Content "tab, click the" clear SSL status "button.

I hope this helps, If the error still occurs, feel free to post again. We will be ready to help!

My time and timezone is set to automatically sync with time.windows.com and I can confirm that it is perfect.

In the Advanced tab, I wasn't able to find SLL 2.0 or 3.0, but I did find one called `Use SSL 3.0'. Enabling it and restarting my pc didn't fix the problem. See https://i.imgur.com/t9GXFGd.png

Clearing the SSL cache also didn't fix the problem.

    Thanks for the help
