Hello all,

I have a local network setup but I am unable to access the shared folder on one of the pc.  The PC (MAT06) appears on the network in explorer but I am unable to open it.  The error is : -

[\MAT06 is not accessible]

[This user cannot sign in because the account is disabled]

but I am able to access the shared folder from another PC so basically

MAT02 can access MAT06 and vice versa

MAT02 can access MAT01 and vice versa

MAT06 can access MAT01 but MAT01 cannot access MAT06

-SMBv1 is enabled

-The shared folders are not password protected

-All PCs are running Windows 10

-All PCs are on the same Workgroup

This solved the issue for me.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NVfzeB0h3E

on the computer that I was trying to access, go to

Right Click Start

-->Computer Management

     --->Local Users and Groups

            --->Users

Within that folder you will see a list of accounts. The one with an down facing arrow suggests that it is disabled so you'll have to enable it for the account you want to give network access to.

    Hi,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that you receive an error when trying to access shared folder on the network. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.

    However, please let us know:

    1.     Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?

    2.     Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? Refer Which version of Windows operating system am I running?

    We would like to know if you are able to access the computer using the IP address. Follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + R, to open Run dialog box.
    2. Type \IPAddress (ex: 192.168.x.x) and check if you are able to access the driv

    I would suggest you to refer the section How do I troubleshootsharing files and folders? mentioned in the article File sharing over a network in Windows 10 and see if that helps.

    Let us know how it goes.

    Regards,
