i was working on some art and i saved the file as a png. i restarted my pc and then suddenly, i can't open the png in my art program anymore and i get an error.

the file has no thumbnail (it uses the thumbnail as if it's not loaded yet). attempting to open it in the windows photo viewer prompts an error message saying "it looks like we don't support this image format."

i've never had issues opening pngs or anything else in the past, so no, it's not a problem with permissions.

what is it and how do i fix it? its only THIS file

Hi! My name is Anderson Souza. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you, I'll be glad to help you today.

If you are unable to open the file in any image program installed on your computer you can try to open it in an online viewer. If the file is corrupted the only way to recover it is to restore it from a backup or recreate the file.
