Password Reset with Usb Flashdrive.

I reset my hp laptop because I've been having problems with my audio. I use the pin for my laptop since my uncle gave me this laptop and only told me the pin. After I did, I didn't have the option to sign in with pin and instead had to sign in with password.

I've plugged in my Usb Flashdrive but it says "This disk is not a password reset disk"-Password Reset Wizard. Im wondering if their is anyway to solve this or find out the password to my laptop. PLEASE HELP!!

    If you log into Windows 10 with a Microsoft Account, use the steps on this page:

    If neither of the above works for you, then because this is a Microsoft Forum it is against the Code of Conduct for us to provide a method to bypass a Windows 10 Password, I hope you understand . . .

    The only real option you will have is to clean install Windows 10 from a bootable USB
