what happened to finding prefetch files after entering "run" in windows 10

There is no need to delete prefetch as it is managed by Windows automatically. I haven't seen any performance difference with the action. In fact, it could slow down the system because Windows will need to recreate these files.

If you wish to access the folder anyway, you can access it under C:\Windows\Prefetch.

I have done this for years. Until 2-3 months ago and I have not been able to achieve to delete prefetch since thru "run".

Going backwards, what's your objective for wanting to access Prefetch? Typically, it doesn't need to be manually managed so I'm trying to understand what you would like to do.

Are you referring to what I have screenshot and posted here? In Windows 10, this should still open the prefetch folder, but you may not have permissions to access the folder. Is this the error you are facing?

Thanks for answering, but when I have gone to "run" as you suggested, and hit enter, the Ready Boot / Res PriHMstatic Db.ebcd comes up and when I click on to either I can not get any further.
